Canadian Immigration medical examination

Dr. W. Ciszak is an Immigration Panel Physician  since 1983.
Dr. Nichole Sturwold is a Panel physician since 2017.

We will be happy to help you with your medical examination for Canada. All tests are done at one location and in one visit. The process will be completed using the eMedical electronic system operated by the government.

What to do in 3 easy steps:

1

Consider if our clinic suits you

Our location - downtown Vancouver - 5 min from Skytrain
Our experience - over 60,000 Canadian immigration exams since 1991
Our fees - see our immigration exam price calculator

2

Book an appointment

Please click below to book an appointment for a single person or a family. As of this moment, the earliest available appointment is next week.

You will receive an email with detailed information about your appointment.

3

Arrive for your appointment

When you arrive in our office, you will be seen during your reserved time. The whole visit may take between 45 minutes (for a single person on a quiet day) and up to 2.5 hours for a family of four on a busy day.

You will have a limited physical examination by the panel doctor. This does not involve an internal examination or breast examination. See detailed description of the examination.

A chaperone is offered to all females examined by Dr. Ciszak.

Dr Ciszak speaks English, French, Spanish, Russian and Polish.

Depending on age, you may also need a chest X-ray and laboratory tests, both in the same building. The tests do not require fasting (you can eat before you come in).

If you are pregnant and are concerned about X-rays, read X-ray in pregnancy.

After the examination

As soon as your medical report is complete, usually in 3-5 days, we will transmit it to IRCC in Ottawa via the eMedical portal. If any of your tests are abnormal we will let you know before submitting the medical report.

The decision is made exclusively by IRCC, based on the medical facts collected by the doctor, not on the doctor’s opinion or recommendation. After the report is submitted, the doctor has no further access to the case and is not informed about the outcome of your application. You will receive an answer directly from IRCC.

If you receive no reply in more than a month, you can call the Medical Branch in Ottawa at 1-888-242-2100 to inquire about the status of your application..

If the above does not answer all your questions, please use the Search on this site or call us at: 604-682-5291. Also check the official Citizenship and Immigration Canada website
