Dr. W. Ciszak is an Immigration Panel Physician for Citizenship and Immigration Canada since 1983

We will be happy to help you with your medical examination for Canada. All tests are done at one location and in one visit. The process will be completed using the eMedical electronic system operated by the government.

What to do in 5 easy steps:

Decide if our clinic suits you

We are located in downtown Vancouver, at 1144 Burrard Street on the 4th floor. See our location map and decide if it is convenient for you.

We are open 5 days a week, Also check our price calculator for the exact cost and the exact breakdown of the services you will require.

Register online

Submit to us all the information required by immigration, using our secure form. This will allow us to prepare your file in advance, saving you time and making your visit with us quicker and less stressful.

Make an appointment

After you have registered please phone us to make an appointment. We are currently booking appointments in the next . You will be given instructions about what exactly to bring with you to the appointment.

Groups of 2 or more people will require an online prepayment to reserve a block of time.

Arrive for your appointment

You will be seen immediately. The whole visit usually takes 90 minutes for a single person or about 120 minutes for a couple.

You will have a standard physical examination by the panel doctor. This does not involve an internal examination or breast examination.  It will be necessary to undress for the examination. You will receive a sheet or a gown to cover yourself. A chaperone is offered to all females examined by Dr. Ciszak. More about this...

Dr Ciszak speaks English, French, Spanish, Russian and Polish

Depending on age, you may also need a chest X-ray and laboratory tests. These are all done in the same building. The tests do not require fasting (you can eat before you come in).

If you are pregnant and are concerned about X-rays, check here.

That's it

As soon as your medical report is complete (usually in 3 days) we will transmit it to IRCC (formerly CIC) in Ottawa via the eMedical portal. If any of your tests are abnormal we will let you know before sending the report. You will receive an answer directly from Immigration. The doctor is not informed about the outcome of your application.

If you receive no reply for more than 2 months, you can call the Medical Branch in Ottawa at 1-888-242-2100 to inquire about the status of your application..

If the above does not answer all your questions, please call us at: 604-682-5291 or check out the official Citizenship and Immigration Canada website
